it feels so great to finish up most of my school assignments... the feeling is priceless... till the lecturers announced that we have more assignments coming up... damn... there goes my plan for leisurely reading... =(
shall post my Enzo Ferrari when i've cleaned up... =) i'm like so urber proud of it... haha...
i'm waiting for my last book of Harry Potter!!! so so so so exciting... before i go on and drone anymore about harry potter and gets ppl bored, *hints* there's gonna be a happy ending... =)
although i'm sad because the last book means that there'll be no more harry potter books coming up, I'll still always be that devoted harry potter fan back when the first book was released, when i was in primary 5...
even my favourite character, Dumbledore, otherwise simply known as DumbDumb to my lil' adorable cousin, i'll still be the harry potter fan that i was and always shall be...
although harry potter is not the book that got me hooked and addicted to reading, it made my passion for reading grows deeper and with the renewal reading of the harry potter books from time to time, i found a lot of new things out each time i re-read the books...
i really admire J.K Rowling style of writing... not because she created my all-time favourite character, but due to the fact that she definitely has got a unique sense of writing style that makes me drawn into the world of magical beings and my fantasy running wild... she has got the ability to divert and create suspense, twists and turns to the story that keeps one bouncing on the balls of his feet...
note to Johan: it's not because of the explicit contents kays...
she's on the list of my top ten favourite writers...
1. J.K Rowling
2. John Grisham
3. J.R.R Tolkien
4. Max Allan Collins
5. Donn Cortez
6. Mitch Albom
7. Matthew Reilly
8. E.B White
9. David Hewson
10. C.S Lewis
if only i can write as well as her or any of the author mentioned above... i used to have this inspiration in me when i was young, to become either a lawyer or doctor, with my free time spend creating stories...
but soon i gave the idea up of becoming either a lawyer or doctor because i know that i'm not cut out for this road of profession, so i settled for my other love, animation... but i still have not given up my passion for writing...
i know that if i entered the animation industry, creating stories like harry potter might be impossible because doing animation is time consuming... i've got proof kays... just look at the huge amount of assignments we have got now, even if we're technically still students, is enough to overwhelm me that i have not been able to settle into my couch with a book and a cup of coffee in hand...
i do miss reading...
reading takes me to places I've never knew exists before and allows me moments of solitary... i do so love those moments being absorbed in books and letting my imaginations taking me to all the places i want...
and i still wanna be able to write like J.K Rowling does... she is no doubt, one of the most fantastic author that i've come across... some of my friends might disagree with me, but hey, one man's tea may be another man's poison...
although it may has been Enid Blyton's books that i got addicted to reading, it was still J.K Rowling who made the biggest impact on me, other than E.B White for Charlotte's Web, that i want to be able to write like them... the foursome of J.K Rowling resembles that of Enid Blyton's Famous Five, excluding Timmy the dog... I noticed that recently when i re-read the harry potter series when the similarity hits me... Harry Potter = Julian, the stupid strong sense of chivalry, Ron Weasley = Dick, the one who always take the back seat but will give his life for his loved ones, Hermione Granger = Anne, the bossy and smart, who prefers to stay out of danger but nevertheless fight back when there's one, Ginny Weasley = George, feisty, determined, strong-willed...
Don't get me wrong here... i'm not saying that J.K Rowling simply ripped the original cast of Famous Five only replacing them as her own Harry Potter cast... i love the cast of Famous Five as much as I love the characters in Harry Potter... it's just that i cant help but link the above mentioned characters together because their personalities are so alike...
to give credits to Enid Blyton, it was because of Famous Five that i discovered my love for reading, which eventually lead me to J.K Rowling and Harry Potter... =)
and i still honesty love to read Enid Blyton's work, especially Famous Five and E.B White's Charlotte's Web...
you guys can jolly well go ahead and call me childish for all i care...
=)
P.S: for non-books lovers out there, it's time to try reading and you might discover that it's actually as fun as kissing...
P.S.S: not that i've kissed before but judging from experiences when i caught couples snogging in the back seats of the bus, i think that it must have been enjoyable...
P.S.S.S: damn, reading the *ahem* does makes me want a relationship... *swores*
P.S.S.S.S: i think only johan will understand the P.S.S.S stated above... =D
*~World of my own~*
